Northwest Associate Board
The NPH USA Northwest Associate Board exists to engage young people in the mission of NPH USA and Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”), with the goal of increasing our visibility among this audience, engaging former and future international volunteers, and raising additional funds for NPH USA. The Associate Board also connects young people who care about combating global poverty and helping children in need together in a vibrant and fun community of peers.

Membership
The Associate Board is open to young people in their twenties and thirties who are passionate about the work of NPH USA and are willing to commit to spreading the word about and raising funds for NPH USA and NPH. Many of our current members are former international volunteers, godparents for children in an NPH home, or have family and other ties to NPH USA. 2nd Annual Trivia Night

The NPH USA Northwest Associate Board raised $2,400 for NPH USA at our second annual Trivia night in November. Twenty-three teams registered with trivia selling out two weeks in advance! Many thanks to Gordon Biersch for generously accommodating over 120 enthusiastic NPH Supporters, to our creative trivia hosts, and to Aveda Store- Pacific Place for providing an amazing raffle item. Trivia night was expertly planned by Associate Board co-chair Angela Klaassen and board member Wyeth Larson. Thanks to all our attendees for your continued commitment to NPH!
Carnaval for a Cause

Nearly 250 people attended this sold-out event hosted by the Associate Board in Seattle. It was an incredible evening of masquerade, celebration, and dancing to support NPH! Carnaval raised over $16,000 to support our nine NPH homes. Thank you to everyone who joined us to make such a big difference for our NPH family. We are grateful to our sponsors for making the event possible: Beechers Cheese, Director’s Mortgage, Blueprint Consulting, and Taco Time. Can’t wait to see you next year for another night of fun!

Run for a Reason

The Associate Board hosted its first annual Run for a Reason 6K and 8K race at the University of Portland in Portland, OR. The event was generously sponsored by Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy and raised over $3,000! Over 100 supporters attended and got a chance to meet Wendy and Julissa from the NPH homes in Honduras and Guatemala. Click here to see more photos.
Cheers for Children
The Associate Board hosts recurring Cheers for Children events, which are nights out at various bars in the Seattle and Portland areas. NPH receives proceeds from drinks purchased by attendees, and NPH supporters have the chance to win raffle prizes like sports tickets and memorabilia, restaurant gift cards, and more.
